Walk the medieval Old City walls for panoramic views; explore the UNESCO Old Town (Boka Bay); hike to St. John's Fortress; boat tour of Boka Bay; Perast village with Our Lady of the Rocks island
Cruise ships anchor in Boka Bay; tender or ship docks at town pier near Old City gate
Kotor is extremely safe; the wall climb is strenuous - 1350 steps with no shade; wear good shoes and bring water; summer heat can be intense in the medieval walls
The walled Old City of Kotor is one of the most authentic medieval cities on the Adriatic. The climb up the city walls is absolutely worth the effort for the jaw-dropping views. Perast village and Our Lady of the Rocks island is a short boat ride and highly recommended.
